Education is a paramount juncture in Oman and is a key element for the development of workforce, prosperous economy and establishment of an enlightened society. Quality of education can be vitally improved with the initiation of the latest technology tools as the delivery of quality education is of prime concern to facilitate the demanding needs of technological eras and to produce competent manpower that can engage in the advancements of the country. Poor teaching methods, lack of awareness of information and limited communication technologies may lead to the problems for young generations to enter the job market and compete internationally. Due to recent trends and development in ICT related activities, the amount of information and access to it has grown exponentially; one of the vital elements to access information now days are mobile devices which have become ubiquitous. One cannot deny the popularity of mobile devices among young generation. To target this electronic age, there is a need of introducing innovative teaching methods, which should be technology rich to promote learning, empower teaching and increase learning outcomes. Mobile learning is one emergent technique corresponds to deal with plenty of problems in education like lack of students‟ interest and non-availability of learning materials. Devices such as smart phones and tablets enable modernization; assist students, teachers, and parents gain access to digital information to improve learning for students and enhance the quality of teaching these days.
