This chapter presents and discusses some contemporary maritime logistics and supply chain management-related decision areas which are of particular interest for the shipping industry. They include terminal operations, hinterland logistics, and knowledge labs for maritime clusters as well as digital innovation and emerging technologies. The chapter briefly describes the technologies and their supply chain management-enabling capabilities. Blockchain is essentially an information technology that enables supply chain management.
