简介
This paper adds to a growing body of evidence highlighting the potential advantages of Latent Class Logit models over continuous mixture Logit models. In particular, we present formulae for correlation between coefficients and for elasticities, and show how these are a function of any sociodemographic attributes included in the class allocation model. An empirical analysis is then conducted which not only confirms these advantages in interpretation, but also shows that, even with a limited number of classes, the Latent Class Logit models achieves very similar model fit to that of its continuous mixture counterpart.
