Nowadays, networks have become global in scope, and information has assumed a digital shape. Due to the volume of data transmitted over the internet, data security has become a significant problem. Today, both symmetric and asymmetric cryptography methods are utilized to conceal any sensitive information from an intruder. Cryptography ensures that secret data maintains its integrity, secrecy, non-repudiation, and validity. A hybrid cryptography is a combination of asymmetric and symmetric cryptography that focuses on enhancing the security level by combining the capabilities of asymmetric cryptography with the efficacy of symmetric encryption. The hybrid approach described here combines a symmetric algorithm (AES), an asymmetric algorithm (ECC), and a hash function (SHA256).
