简介
The use of pesticides by farmers being increases day by day which is causing serious health hazards to applicator, to consumer and to the environment. The chemicals pose wide spread risks because of their acute and chronic toxicity to living organisms, the distraction of non target organisms eg bees and spiders. The accumulation of toxicants in flora and fauna. The commonly accepted measure of toxicity for pesticide is the LD50 (Lethal Dose50). DDT had destroyed and reviewed the wild life and human life, which awakened the world about this fact. In the present scenario we are faced with multiple pest and pesticide problems. Pesticides have entered in the natural food chain, continuously every layer in the eco-system.
Spray drift poses a serious safety and health risk to the applicator and harmful to the environment. The drift can be reduce by developing suitable spraying equipment. Spraying with air assistance is the technology that increases the pesticide application efficiency. This technique also improves the penetration of spray chemical inside the plant canopy by providing sufficient kinetic energy to spray droplets, which reduces spray drift and also restrict the environmental degradation occupying through chemical spraying.
