简介
The performance of four routing protocols in a sparse Bluetooth multi-hop ad hoc network is studied. A Bluetooth ad hoc network is created by deploying a mobile application on mobile phones that allows mobile phones to connect and exchange messages. We discover that on-demand routing protocols that initiate route discovery and route maintenance, either periodically or when necessary, incur higher average delay in transmitting a message and greater convergence times to reach a stable network topology. Routing protocols that do not make local routing decisions and blindly flood the network with messages incur greater total traffic but incur less average delay and convergence times.
