This paper discusses about the development of ontology for semantic searching of programming related materials on the Web. As today, more and more businesses as well as organizations have become computerized, thus programming or system development knowledge is becoming an added advantage for job seekers to have. However, teaching and learning programming has always been a challenge. Since programming need more practical aptitude rather than theoretical, classroom learning is not enough to groom good programmers. Hence, supplementary materials would need to be explored by students and one common source of these materials is the Internet.
