A connected and autonomous future for transportation requires a significant leap in
innovation regarding data security. In highly-autonomous vehicles (SAE level 4 and 5), an
immense amount of data is passed between applications that then must be able to sense
and react to the surrounding environment in real-time. This must be done safely and
securely. However, today's designs for autonomous vehicles are not yet good enough to
simultaneously satisfy all of these requirements.
