In this paper, a novel electronically tunable Floating Inductance Simulator (FIS) is proposed.
The newly proposed circuit uses an Extra X Current Controlled Conveyor, which is
abbreviated as EX-CCCII. Besides, the circuit requires a single capacitor in grounded form.
The circuit does not require any constraint for component matching. The circuit is tuned
electronically through the bias current of EX-CCCII; and inductance value realized is in the
range of 0.065 mH to 0.47 mH; whereas the power consumption is 0.48 mW for 10 μA bias …

The newly proposed circuit uses an Extra X Current Controlled Conveyor, which is abbreviated as EX-CCCII. Besides, the circuit requires a single capacitor in grounded form. The circuit does not require any constraint for component matching. The circuit is tuned electronically through the bias current of EX-CCCII; and inductance value realized is in the range of 0.065 mH to 0.47 mH; whereas the power consumption is 0.48 mW for 10 μA bias. The application example of second order filter is designed which provides filter responses, namely: low-pass (LP), band-reject (BR) and band-pass (BP). The design verification of the proposed circuits is included with attractive results through the PSPICE program.
