The estimated cost of completing the computing infrastructure and sensor networks for
ShakeAlert is $39.4 million. The annual operation and maintenance cost of the completed

Operating this highly reliable data telemetry would add another $9.8 million per year of costs; but this also could be reduced by partners providing bandwidth at low or no cost to the project.
