In the present work, we experimentally investigated the nonlinear optical parameters of
cadmium based quantum dots (QDs) namely CdS, CdSe and CdTe with comparable sizes.
Third order nonlinear optical properties are found to vary according to the intrinsic properties
of the QDs.
