This work has as main aims to analyze the reconfiguration of Mozambican national identity
after the Civil War, and to show how this new discourse is represented in Mia Couto's
novels, namely: A Sleepwalking Land, Under the Frangipani and The Last Flight Of The
Flamingo. The purpose is to think how this internal conflict was presented as a divisor of
