Na metal is considered as one of the most promising anode materials for Na batteries due to its low cost, high theoretical specific capacity and low electrochemical potential. However, Na metal anode has poor reversibility and thereare safety issues of dendritic growth of Na, which hinder its further application. In this study, we demonstrate that carbon fibre paper (CFP), as the 3D current collector, suppresses the growth of dendrite and improves the coulombic efficiency and the voltage hysteresis during long-term cycling due to the good Na affinity with carbon and the 3D conductive scaffold structure. Moreover, full battery is assembled with a Prussian blue cathode and CFP@Na anode. The superior performance of CFP@Na makes it a promising candidate for practical applications.
