A new wavelet-based video codec is presented, which joins vectors in the same subbands
of different frames in a frame group and uses the properties of the human visual system.
Perceptual weights are designed and used in the vector selection and quantisation of the
wavelet coefficients. The results indicate a significant improvement in frame quality
compared to JPEG2000 image sequence coder.
Abstract
