Sense and sensibility: Amplified DNA detection is accomplished by the autocatalytic
cleavage of a programmed nucleic acid structure based on the Mg 2+‐dependent DNAzyme
E6 (see picture). The analyte sequence is autocatalytically generated by the DNAzyme from
a reporter nucleic acid, which is labeled with a fluorophore and quencher at its two ends.
