We report on a new theoretical approach to investigate dynamics and intensity noise of
Semiconductor lasers subjected to strong optical feedback. The influence of intrinsic
fluctuations in the intensity and optical phase of the lasing field on the laser dynamics were
taken into account. The laser operates in pulsation under strong feedback, and the
associated intensity noise attains levels as low as the quantum noise at high injection levels.
Abstract
