In the present study, methanolic extracts of fruits of Emblica officinalis (EOM) and Terminalia
bellirica (TBM) were screened for their anti-Parkinson's activity. Haloperidol (1 mg kg-1) was
given to male Wistar rats to induce catalepsy and Parkinson's disease-like symptoms. Effect
of EOM and TBM (300 mg kg-1, po) pretreatment was observed on behavioural parameter
like catalepsy and biochemical parameters like lipid peroxidation (LPO), glutathione (GSH),
