In 2019 and 2020 appearance of two toxin-producing fungi were detected on maize hybrids
near Debrecen in Eastern Hungary. First pure culture of the fungi were grown, then A. flavus
and A. niger were identified under microscope. Sequencing of the two fungi were
determined by molecular biology methods. A. niger showed 98% identity with the sequence
KF753944 and A. flavus showed 98% identity with the sequence MH237666.
