Recent advances in the field of homogeneous catalysis with regard to green chemistry
principles are illustrated. Both catalysis based on a broad range of metal complexes and
different types of organocatalysts are covered by selected examples and reviewed with
regard to the application of green chemistry principles in these reactions. The highlighted
