The Kutawaru written batik industry in Cilacap, Central Java developed rapidly but has the potential in environmental pollution. The wastewater of Kutawaru batik is still treated conventionally and need alternative method to minimize the pollution utilize microorganism agents, such as Aspergillus sp. 3. The purpose of this study was to determine the ability of Aspergillus sp. 3 in reducing the color of batik waste of Kutawaru and to determine the effect of the treatment results of Aspergillus sp. 3 in corn and green beans. The study was conducted by experimental methods. The results showed that isolate of Aspergillus sp. 3 was able to reduce the color of Kutawaru written batik wastewater by 76.303% with an average mycelium dry weight of 0.153 g. Aspergillus sp. 3 effect on the growth of corn and green beans. The percentages of germination in corn for batik waste, water and wastewater after fungal treatment were 22%, 100%, 89%, while in green beans were 0,100,100%, respectively. Leaf buds length (cm) corn in batik wastewater, water and wastewater after fungal treatment were 0.2; 4.28; and 1.58, while in green beans were 0 in batik waste, 9.47 in water and 1.29 in waste after fungal treatment. The amount of leaves after fungal treatment on corn was 2 which was the same as the amount in clean water, while on the wastewater did not grow. Aspergillus sp. 3 can reduce the color of batik waste Kutawaru and good effect on plant growth.
