In this paper the problems of doing automatic modal parameter extraction and how to
account for large number of data to process are considered. Two different approaches for
obtaining the modal parameters automatically using OMA are presented: The Frequency
Domain Decomposition (FDD) technique and a correlation-driven Stochastic Subspace
Identification (SSI) technique. Special attention is given to the problem of data reduction,
where many sensors are available. Finally, the techniques are demonstrated on real data.
Abstract
