The Internet of things (IoT) is a huge network of interconnection in almost every domain. IoT is an idea that allows users to connect various sensors and smart devices i.e., healthcare to collect real-time data from the environment. Presently, due to the lack of some developed technologies, IoT based healthcare system has become a crucial element for the survival of patients. Thus, their availability must need to be assured fully at the right time to identify risks abruptly to stop consequences. The previous technologies mostly calculated risk analysis based on the risk analysis tree. Also, expertise in the risk domain helps in finding risks one by one. This consumes a lot of time and resources at a high value. Therefore, in this research, a proposed framework is used to carry out availability testing of healthcare devices by overcoming the high impact risks that are found by calculating the Risk Redundancy Leverage. The reason behind this is to cater those risks on priority to ensure the availability of software for a timeframe when it is being used. Survey-based research is carried out to collect the responses from people working in software organizations with the purpose to collect data regarding their experience of availability testing. Furthermore, statistical analysis is done through statistical methods like Analysis of variance (ANOVA) and two sample T-tests by using Minitab software. ANOVA allows us to validate the quality of factors of availability testing and its impact on IoT-based healthcare devices. The results of the survey show that the proposed framework supports better than the previous research and methodologies in terms of factors like time, resource usage, accuracy, quality performance, and availability of IoT-based health care devices.
