Through the use of resonant two-photon ionization spectroscopy, sharp predissociation
thresholds have been identified in the spectra of CrO, MoO, RuO, and RhO. Similar
thresholds have previously been used to measure the bond dissociation energies (BDEs) of
many molecules that have a high density of vibronic states at the ground separated atom
