Brain evoked potentials and some mechanisms of perception

In this investigation the correlation between the amplitude of 10 components of the
somatosensory evoked potential (EP) and 2 psychophysical characteristics of perception
was studied. A high positive correlation was found between the amplitude of the first
negative EP component (latency 20 msec) and the sensitivity index of perception. Wave P 6
(P 300) showed significant correlation with the criterion index—non-sensory factor of
