… It’s stated in literature that the treatment of zeolites with weak acids such as H3PO4,
opens possibilities for the removal of impurities and for the improvement of the cationic
composition of the sample with low dealumination and with a smaller decrease of
crystallinity than with strong acids like HCl (Malharbe, 2001). In this study, the CO2 and N2
adsorption on acid treated natural zeolites and also synthetic zeolites at 5 and 25 ◦ C was
investigated. Sips and Langmuir adsorption
Abstract
CO2 and N2 adsorption on the acid treated natural and synthetic zeolites at 5C and 25C was studied. The system heterogeneity was higher for CO2 than N2 adsorption and decreased with acid treatment.
