The study aimed at investigating the perception oflibrary security by its stakeholders, existing
levels of security at the public libraries and prevention mechanism of the threats at the same
libraries which born by both physical and human impacts at the public libraries of Sri Lanka.
Sample was selected throughout the North Central Province and the case study method was
applied with a self-administered questionnaire (SAQ) that used as a tool for data collection.
