Abstract
Gaussian laser beams have been very successful in various fields including holography where two lasers with frequency difference have been used, but good quality holograms could be produced only for small frequency detuning. The present proposal proves that the Dark-hollow laser beams (DHBs) may be better than the Gaussian lasers for larger frequency difference. DHBs with smaller dark spot generate new regions of frequency detuning with very significant value of modulation depth. It also enables the flexibility of both fixing the pulse duration and varying the frequency difference or vice-versa for obtaining the best possible quality holograms.
