Peristaltic pump used in hemodialysis machine to transfer all liquid components needed to
make a dialysate. In general, dialysate made from water, acid and bicarbonate. By adjusting
a correct composition from those components, dialysate can be obtained. There are two

Peristaltic pump used in hemodialysis machine to transfer all liquid components needed to make a dialysate. In general, dialysate made from water, acid and bicarbonate. By adjusting a correct composition from those components, dialysate can be obtained. There are two parameters that should considered, pH and electrical conductivity of dialysate. The aim of this research is to design a PID controller for peristaltic pump in order to create an appropriate dialysate. As a result, peristaltic pump that has 55 mL/min flowrate can make an appropriate dialysate in 6.36 minutes. When system got interference, the system can control the pump using feedback from sensor. PID controller succesfully control peristaltic pumps used in this system. In the future, this research can be integrated with other sub-system to make a hemodialysis machine.
