For the detection of psychotropic drugs in human hair we collected hair obtained from 21
corpses that died from an overdose of legal or illicit drugs. These persons were known to
have taken psychotropic drugs prior to their death as determined by post-mortem
toxicological analysis in blood. After washing, cutting hair into segments of 3 cm,
pulverization, enzymatic hydrolysis with β-glucuronidase/arylsulfatase and solid phase
