Objective
This study aimed to descriptively determine the image of the nursing profession in the society during the Covid-19 pandemic process.
Methods
The study was carried out in a district between November 2020 and February 2021. The sample of the study consisted of 1285 individuals. While collecting the data, a “Questionnaire Form” containing personal characteristics and “Image Scale for Nursing Profession” were used. Data were collected by snowball sampling method. The data were collected through an online survey.
Results
The mean score of the participants’ Image Scale for Nursing Profession was found to be 150.68 ± 9.75. It was determined that the subdimensions of the scale, the professional qualification sub-dimension, had the highest mean score of 45.80 ± 4.45, and the other appearance sub-dimension had the lowest mean score of 11.10 ± 2.73.
