Differential cross sections for positron impact excitation of hydrogen

A distorted wave polarized orbital model and a three-body classical trajectory Monte Carlo
method are applied to study the excitation of hydrogen atom by positron impact. The total
and differential cross section as a function of the scattering angle of the scattered positron
are calculated at 54.4, 100 and 200eV impact energies. Our results are compared with
previous theoretical calculations.
