Distribution of 238U, 232Th and 40K in plutonic rocks of Greece

One hundred and twenty one samples from every major plutonic body (mainly granitic) of
Greece have been analyzed by γ-ray spectrometry to determine the specific activities of 238
U, 232 Th and 40 K (Bq/kg). The range of the activity concentrations of these radionuclides
was 2.3–266.4, 1.8–375.5 and 55.0–1632.0 Bq/kg and their average values were 79.2, 85.3
