EDXRF analysis of municipal solid waste using 109Cd source
Elemental compositions of municipal solid waste (MSW) samples have been analyzed using
the non-destructive energy dispersive X-ray fluorescence (EDXRF) technique. The samples
were collected from three different dumping sites of urban and suburban areas of the city of
Kolkata, West Bengal, India. The EDXRF spectrometer consisted of a 109Cd radioactive
