The present investigation was based on the primary data collected from prime growing area
of turmeric form Sangli district (Maharashtra state). The data was collected duirng the year
1998-99. In all 6 villages were selected from Miraj tahasil. The sample constitutes orturmeric
growers from Sangli district. The study reveled that the total cost of cultivation and yield was
worked out to Rs. 235224.84 per hectare with per hectare yield of 134.84 quintals
respectively. While, the per hectare net profit was worked out to Rs. 87723.63. The Output …
