This article presents a scientometric analysis of literature output on" Education for Sustainable Development (ESD)" during the last twenty years. Data for this study were collected from Web of Science and Scopus databases using the key terms related to the theme ESD. Metadata was merged, processed, and analyzed using the tool Bibliometrix R and its interface Biblioshiny. The results indicate an increasing trend of annual publications on ESD. This analysis reveals the most productive countries, institutions, and authors who contributed relevant research related to this field. It also provides the most preferred journals, most frequent keywords, and highly cited publications in the field of ESD during this period.
