Due to various anthropogenic activities, different heavy metals like arsenic (As), cadmium
(Cd), chromium (Cr), copper (Cu), lead (Pb), mercury (Hg) and nickel (Ni) accumulate in the
soils of industrial areas. In the current study, contaminated soil was collected from Yuepu
industrial area of Shanghai, China. Soil analysis revealed the presence of Pb and Cu in high
concentrations, ranging from 125.9–128.0 mg/kg and 98.4–100.2 mg/kg, respectively. These
