The study was conducted on 69 clinical cases of theileriosis presented to TVCC, COVAS, Udgir from Jan 2008 to Dec 2009. The incidence of theileriosis in the crossbred cattle (56.52%) was found to be higher than indigenous breed (43.48%). Age wise, higher incidence was observed in animals above one year of age (72.46%) as compared to animals below one year of age (27.54%). Clinically the cases showed fever, tachycardia, polypnoea, reduced appetite, dullness, pale to icteric mucous membrane and enlargement of superficial lymph nodes. The haematological examination revealed low haemoglobin, PCV and TEC values. PM examination showed icterus, hepatomegaly and ulcers in abomasum. The cases were diagnosed on the basis of clinical findings, laboratory investigations and blood smear examination. Response to different therapeutic regimens viz. buparvaquone and combination therapy of diminazene aceturate and oxytetracycline along with haematinics and B-complex was compared.
