Kissing-bugs (Triatominae) are being increasingly reported as a biting nuisance in SE Asia,
with severe bite reactions sometimes leading to anaphylactic shock. In addition, they pose a
risk for vector-borne transmission of trypanosomiasis, with potential diagnostic difficulties
