Evaluation of F1 hybrids of tomato (Solanum lycopersicum L.).

PS Sudhakar, K Purushotham - 2009 - cabidigitallibrary.org
A study was conducted during 2005-06 spring-summer season at Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh,
India to evaluate different F1 hybrids of tomato (JK Asha, Lakshmi, Lehar, Ruchi, Abinav,
Manisha, NS-2535, and US 618) for higher yield and staggered harvesting. Data were
recorded for plant height at final harvesting, number of branches per plant at final harvest,
days to 50% flowering, days to maturity, fruit set, number of fruits per plant, yield per plant,
crop yield, fruit weight, fruit size, pericarp thickness, total soluble solids, ascorbic acid …

[PDF][PDF] Evaluation of F1 hybrids of tomato (Solanum lycopersicum L.) and mechanism of resistance against root knot nematode (Meliodogyne incognita)

D Swetha, PR Kamalkumaran, P Vetrivelkalai - IJCS, 2019 - academia.edu
Tomato is mostly affected by root knot nematode (Meliodogyne incognita) which primarily
produces root galls in the root system and cause 32 to 40% yield losses. Development of
hybrids with nematode resistance as well as high yielding is very much needed to combat
the effect. The present study is aimed to screen the F1 hybrids and its parents of tomato
along with susceptible (PKM 1) and resistant check hybrid (Hisar Lalit) based on the
nematode multiplication and induction of defence related enzymes by the resistant plant due …
