The main objectives of this field trip to the Cameros Basin (Fig. 1) are to visit seismic scale
outcrops, and to analyse the stratigraphy and sedimentology of pre-rift marine deposits and
syn-rift lacustrine, fluvial and alluvial depositional systems. The trip will go through three
transects to the Cameros Basin, along which, vertical and lateral variations of the
sedimentary record and both, extensional and contractional tectonic structures, will be
