Experimental evidence for the direct interaction between two-level systems in glasses at very low temperatures

W Arnold, S Hunklinger - Solid State Communications, 1975 - Elsevier
We have measured the direct interaction between two-level systems in glasses at low
temperatures. This interaction results in a strong broadening of the excited state in addition
to the natural linewidth. A theoretical explanation of our result is given regarding the two-
level systems as an elastic dipole.
