The focus of this paper is to present research results that examines two different methods to address identity theft education at the college level. One strategy is a traditional text-based model while the other is a new game-based approach. A comparison of the results of the study reveals that students who received information via the game-based module performed better on the post education survey than their counterparts who drew the text-based track; In addition, those who received the game-based direction remained in the educational unit longer and enjoyed the experience more.
