False aneurysm of the hepatic artery after laparoscopic cholecystectomy: a rare but potentially fatal complication

CN Petersen, UH Sigild - Ugeskrift for Laeger, 2008 - europepmc.org
Pseudoaneurysm is an uncommon complication of laparoscopic cholecystectomy,
potentially fatal due to the high risk of bleeding. The diagnosis requires Doppler UL and CT.

presented with a false aneurysm of the right hepatic artery two weeks after an uncomplicated
laparoscopic cholecystectomy and was successfully treated with coil embolization.
