The nonlinear constitutive equations of Kelvin's medium (a nonlinear elastic polar medium
consisting of rotating particles) are obtained. We establish the analogy between basic
equations of saturated elastic ferromagnetic insulators and basic equations of Kelvin's
medium. The most general way of taking the couplings of magnetic and elastic subsystems
into account is suggested. Wave processes are investigated from this point of view. All
results are interpreted both in terms of mechanical medium and ferromagnets.
