This research aimed to describe figure of speech in directive speech act of hypnotherapy.
The description of this research is using pragma-stylistics analysis. Utilization of figure of
speech in directive speech act of hypnotherapy realized in eight cases, namely (a) directive-
antithesis,(b) directive-simile,(c) directive-parallelism,(d) directive-epizeuxis,(e) directive-
climax,(f) directive-hyperbole,(g) directive-prolepsis, and (h) directive-rhetorical.
