A numerical model using the 1D shallow water equations was developed for the simulation
of long wave propagation and runup. The developed model is based on the Finite Volume
Method (FVM) with an application of Godunov-type scheme of second order of accuracy.
The model uses the HLL approximate Riemann solver for the determination of numerical
