This research is a qualitative research that aims to describe how ghosting behavior in students. Researchers conducted a survey to students through the distribution of closed questionnaires in the form of google. form, which consisted of 14 questions. The research subjects were 224 UMM students consisting of 168 people (75%) were women and 56 people (25%) were men. The data analysis technique is descriptive qualitative which is supported by percentages. the survey results showed that 85.7%(192 students) stated that they had ever done ghosting (ghosters), while 14.3%(32 students) stated that they had never ghosted (never been ghosters). Of the 85.7% of students who had ghosted, 69.9% said they had ghosted 1-2 times, 15.8% 3-5 times, and 14.4% ghosted more than 5 times. Regarding student assessments of ghosting behavior, out of 224 student participants, 66.5% stated that ghosting behavior was actually a bad behavior, 28.5% stated that ghosting behavior was normal behavior, 1.4% stated that ghosting was a good behavior, while 3.8% did not have an opinion.
