Bamboo utilisation has increased over the last few decades, from cottage industries to various value-added products such as building materials, textiles, and paper. This has increased the market for bamboo-based products while also emphasising the importance of developing downstream industries with growth potential. It has been realised from the upstream to ensure raw material sufficiency through the expansion of upstream industries in accordance with the national action plan announced by several countries. This chapter examined the bamboo industry from upstream to downstream industries, including market trade through product segmentation, exporters and importers, and issues and prospects for bamboo industry success.
