Background: Breast cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer among Canadian
women. Environmental exposures, including air pollution, have been associated with an
increased risk of breast cancer. More recently, findings from a multi-centre case-control
study in Spain, and the US Nurses Health Study suggest that proximity to greenness may
