Using a Fabry–Pérot cavity with high transmittivity, we have realized high-efficiency
interaction-free measurements. The required stability of the cavity was achieved by
employing the Pound-Drever feedback scheme without disturbing the measurement. For
both an absorbing and a transparent object, the probability of correctly determining the
presence or absence of the object (the efficiency of the interaction-free measurement) was
found to be 88%.
